Since my husband and I moved to the Mid-Atlantic a few months ago, we get all of the crappy weather and none of the ability to handle it well that you expect in the Northeast. Here's an email from my dad in Connecticut re: today's storm:
I’m fine. I am convinced however that I will not make it through this winter. Remember 2 things. Play "I Get Around" at my service and make sure they pry the end of the snow shovel out of my ass before cremation as I don’t want any part of winter mixing with my ashes.
Poor Pappy. I'd actually like to give my dad a viking funeral in which he floats off into Long Island Sound on a blow up raft and I shoot flaming arrows at his body until it's ignited and then we light fires all over the beach. I'll play I Get Around, though. At the very least, my cats are getting viking funerals.
I've been hard at work as a substitute teacher. I worked two days this week and I am WIPED. Technically, I'm not supposed to write about it, so I made you this video:
Adventures In Substitute Teaching
That is my new website. Take a look, send me an email, give feedback, take quizzes and look at pictures.
