Mitt Romney Booed by Black Audience at NAACP Conference

As a headline, I feel like it is the equivalent of a New York Times feature story titled "Sky Appears Blue on Monday." Did you know that the NAACP lobbied in favor of the Affordable Healthcare Act? Neither did Romney. I guess it's funny that he was even there. I guess he had some free time since he raised a shit ton more money than Obama and that's all it takes to win elections - money.

The New York Times, liberal rag that it is, made a point to note that Mormons didn't even let black people become priests until 1978. The article didn't mention that women still cannot be priests in the Mormon Church - or many other churches that we're all aware of. Ok, now I'm going to bitch about that for a minute. What the hell? It's not even newsworthy that women are still barred from so many things, but dang, some dude can't do something? Some DUDE doesn't have EQUAL RIGHTS? Stuff it, Mormon church. Also, Catholic church, and Church of Latter Day Saints you can do the same. I am thinking of starting my own church because I need the tax breaks. I am going to discrimnate against so many things - it's going to be great.

  1. The more surprising thing to me is that they applauded a couple times when he said stuff, but you don't hear that in the news reports.
Not that I like Romney, though ...

  2. Well, that's not entertaining. Clearly, Obama has the black vote and the gay vote. Is there a gay vote? If there is one and it's not mixed up in all of the other things people are - then Obama's got the gay vote - since Romney is against their civil rights battle and all.
